TiVo Becomes Even More Powerful -- All Hail

The folks at Amazon and TiVo decided that June is too long a wait for downloading movie goodness. In fact, the Amazon Unbox on TiVo service is available right now. Wouldn't it be wonderful if more companies delivered their goods three months early? We're talking to you, Apple.

After a one-time registration process on Amazon.com you can begin downloading purchased or rented videos directly to your TiVo. The videos show up in your "Now Playing List" with the rest of your TiVo content. If TiVo users sign up before April 30, they will recieve $15 in free movie and TV show downloads. How sweet is that?!

Concerned about filling up your TiVo with downloaded content? Don't fret. All purchased videos are kept in "Your Media Library" at Amazon.com, so you can delete the video from your TiVo and access the video at a later date. Now if they could only deliver popcorn through your TiVo ... life would be perfect.
