Jess and John: Just for the Cameras?
Jessica Simpson and John Mayer may be one of Hollywood's hottest new couples for the cameras, but could it all be a big Simpson ruse to get back at ex-hubby Nick Lachey?
At Nobu in Miami in Tuesday night, the pair "barely spoke" to each other, reports Page Six, and John "was extremely quiet and didn't speak a lot." Jessica, as is her wont, engaged in "a lot of puppy-dog looks and twirled and twisted her hair." Sure, they were seen holding hands, but Simpson then left John all alone for 20 minutes at the table to get herself primped for cameras waiting outside.
Simpson and Mayer, says the Post, are staying at the Four Seasons because Nick and Jess always used to shack up at the Shore Club.
Owen and Kate Heat Up Down Under
Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson are cultivating their romance anew in Australia, reports Ben Widdicombe, after a break for the holidays. The pair went through a little rough patch during Christmas and New Year's, because Wilson decided he didn't want to hang with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, who apparently disapprove of the relationship. Plus, Kate's estranged hubby Chris Robinson and the couple's baby were going to be around as well. Regardless, Hudson is shooting a movie in Oz and, according to his rep, Wilson's in India. But Hudson recently put the kibosh on photographers for a few days in Australia, suggesting that she may have had a special visitor around.
Kirsten Dunst -- Ho, Ho, Ho
"Spider-Man" star Kirsten Dunst is weaving a tangled web of possible hookups all around Hollywood, and she's ensnared a couple of prominent exes -- which could lead to some very interesting bitchfights. Her latest conquest, says Us Weekly, is Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti, who just broke up with Drew Barrymore. They're "just friends" but it seems, according to a source, that Kirsten's looking for love. Then there's "The OC's" Adam Brody, who recently split from Rachel Bilson – Kirsten and Adam were spotted together at celeb-boite Hyde. And of course, just a few days ago, it was Dunst and Aquaman himself, "Entourage's" Adrian Grenier, who hasn't broken up with anyone recently. Why all the cavorting with various moderately-famous men? "Kirsten has been lonely," says an Us source.
