The Killers Team with Tim Burton
Tim Burton has directed and produced some great movies over the years with more than one dealing with scary themes. In what I believe may be his first foray into music videos he's sticking to that motif. Burton has finished up directing the Killers in their new video for the song "Bones" off their wildly popular sophomore release "Sam's Town." Burton reportedly recorded the band live and then worked up an cast of animated-type characters, like skeletons and such, to fill out the video storyline. But, everything in the video may not be completely scary as we hear that model Devon Aoki, of Versace and Chanel fame ( who also popped up in a Sean Lennon video) makes an appearance - I don't think even Tim Burton can make her look ghoulish or gruesome!
MTV is going to give the debut wall-to-wall, or in their case, channel-to-channel coverage. "Bones" will air tomorrow, October 25th, simultaneously on all the MTV Channels: MTV (yes, that one still shows videos!), MTV2, MTV Tr3s (I wonder if this will be in Spanish?), mtvU, MTV Hits and on their MTV.com site. The network is approaching the video premiere as an "event" and MTV says this is the first time they have ever booked all their various channels screens to air a video at once, including during shows like "Laguna Beach," "Yo Momma," "Parental Controls" and "MTV Cribs."
I was beginning to think Brandon Flowers' head couldn't get any bigger, this all this coverage will certainly test that theory.
