Baby on the Way!
Now that the world knows that Angelina Jolie is pregnant with Brad Pitt's baby, rumors are swirling that their next big step is marriage. The two lovebirds appear serious about starting their new life together, and TMZ has learned exclusively that the couple and Angelina's two kids will all move into Pitt's home in one of Hollywood's hottest and hippest neighborhoods (see where Brad lives - watch video).
Jolie has confirmed her pregnancy, which was first reported on PEOPLE magazine's Web site. "Yes, I'm pregnant," the magazine quoted Jolie telling a charity aid worker Monday in the Dominican Republic, where she is filming 'The Good Shepherd' with Matt Damon.
Pitt's publicist has also confirmed the pregnancy to the Associated Press.
Jolie has two adopted children, 1-year-old Zahara and 4-year-old Maddox. The pregnancy news comes one month after papers were filed to make Pitt the adoptive father of Jolie's two children. Yesterday, TMZ was the first to report that Jolie filed legal papers to change the names of her two children to Zahara Jolie-Pitt and Maddox Jolie-Pitt.
Sources close to the couple tell TMZ that Pitt, Jolie and their brood will make Pitt's sprawling, Hollywood Hills home their primary residence. The house, which includes a main compound, is being renovated under Pitt's watchful eye. Sources tell TMZ that Pitt frequently rides his motorcycle to the compound to supervise construction.
Pitt bought the main house more than five years ago, before marrying Jennifer Aniston, and subsequently purchased the lots surrounds it. A celebrity realtor who has seen the craftsman compound calls it "rustic" and "bohemian." We're told, when Pitt purchased the main house it was "a mess" and took years for him to restore.
Pitt, Jolie and the children have recently been living at Brad's Malibu pad that he purchased last year for $9 million. We're told he will keep the 3,000 square foot home that is tucked away on a bluff over the Pacific Ocean. In fact, TMZ has learned this week, workmen are at the Malibu house making improvements. The workers refer to the famous couple in code as Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
The pregnant actress will be in the Dominican Republic until the end of this week, sources say. Jolie is filming extra scenes for the spy thriller 'The Good Shepherd.' But Jolie's pregnancy wont be an issue since most of the filming has been completed. 'The Good Shepherd,' directed by costar Robert De Niro, is about the early days of the Central Intelligence Agency. In the movie, Jolie and Damon play husband and wife, with Damon as a CIA agent. (Coincidentally, Damon is also rumored to be expecting a child with his wife, Luciana Bazan, whom he married in a surprise ceremony last month.) 'The Good Shepherd' is due out in December. Not clear when Angelina is due.
Pitt, who averages about one movie a year, has also cleared his work schedule for much of the foreseeable future. He's wrapped filming on 'Babel' and 'The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford,' both rolling out later this year. But he's currently not scheduled to shoot any new movies. He is attached to the movies 'Chad Schmidt' and 'Benjamin Button,' but neither are in production yet.
With two of Hollywood's busiest movie stars apparently taking some time off from filming back-to-back movies, it will leave plenty of time to get ready for a new baby... and to possibly get married.
