Avicii Is Off the Road ... Retiring from Touring

Avicii is ready to pickup his AARP card -- he's retiring at the age of 26.

The mega-popular DJ said 2016 will be the last year he tours or does any live performances. Avicii wrote a farewell letter to his fans, saying he had "too little left for the life of a real person behind the artist."

Translation: He's tired of being famous.

He did hint at a possible return though -- "One part of me can never say never, I could be back ... but I won't be right back."

Maybe the guy just needs a break ... Avicii had serious health problems in 2014, undergoing surgeries to remove his gallbladder and appendix.
