Paul -- a BIG Everton supporter -- is being lobbied to buy the 135-year-old Premier League franchise. Fans have started a petition drive which is picking up steam -- 4,500 names so far.

Paul has the dough -- he's reportedly worth around $800 million. The team is going for $200 mil, which would clearly make a big dent in his wallet.
