Tareq Salahi is mending his broken heart the old fashioned way -- partying with an infamous madam and her porn star pals in NYC ... TMZ has learned.

Michaele Salahi's estranged hubby is not only going to a birthday party tonight for Manhattan Madam, Kristin Davis -- he's going as her date.

Davis famously setup escorts for former NY Governor Elliot Spitzer -- and says she's really looking forward to having Tareq as her escort.

Madam D tells TMZ, she's well aware Tareq's wife/groupie slut recently ran off with Journey's guitarist ... but adds, "I can assure you there's no better place to meet beautiful women than my birthday party!"

Looks like Tareq's marriage is going out with a bang.
