Britney to Family - It's All Your Fault!
Britney Spears is blaming her family for plunging her into the downward spiral that landed her in rehab – the same family that nurtured her back to where she is now.
Brit's dad, Jamie Spears, tells Page Six that his daughter is pointing the finger at her parents for "where she is at today with her kids and career," and that she "was out of control" when she went on the crotch-baring, head-shaving rampage that ended with her going into the Promises facility. Britney bizarrely screams back that her dad doesn't "know how to accept a real woman's love," and claims that she and her dad have "never had a good relationship."
What's more, Brit says that she was "embarrassed" about going to rehab, and according to a friend quoted by the Post, blames her head-shaving on a show of "solidarity" with her aunt's death from cancer.
Elisabeth Begs Rosie – "Please Come Back!"
Based on their on-air verbal fistifcuffs, you might think that Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Rosie O'Donnell hate each other, but amazingly enough, Elisabeth is begging Rosie to come back for another year. She tells the Los Angeles Times that she tells Rosie every day that she "better be here" for more sparring around the Hot Topics table after her contract ends this summer. Rosie, of course, hasn't revealed her intentions, but says she'll announce what she's doing on June 13 after a family vote.
Meanwhile, her former colleagues, Star Jones and Meredith Vieira, are sticking up for her, saying that she can handle things perfectly well on her own – and Vieira's not sure that she would be able to handle herself as well as Elisabeth does. Hasselbeck, for her part, isn't a scared little lamb – she's got a sign in her dressing room that says, "Everyone is entitled to my opinion."
Sanjaya Goes to Washington
Sanjaya Malakar is taking his fame to the nation's capital, where he'll be attending the White House Correspondents' Dinner as the guest of People magazine. He's been making the rounds of talk shows and various media appearances since his ousting from "American Idol" Wednesday night. Meanwhile, various music industry sources give the hair-tacular wonder little chance of making it in the music biz or on Broadway, saying he just doesn't have the pipes. The next best option? Hosting some kind of kids show or playing "the wacky foreign exchange student," says one industry vet. Regardless, Sanjaya knows what's up: "The money will come," he says.
"Apprentice" Vixen to Pose for Playboy
Donald Trump's new employee won't be the only surprise coming out of this season's "Apprentice." TMZ has learned exclusively that ousted contestant Kristine Lefebvre will be on the cover of the June issue of Playboy, featured in a steamy photo spread. (Lefebvre is married to celeb chef Ludovic Lefebvre, as we reported before.) Ironically, Kristine has previously negotiated Playboy spreads for a number of her high profile law clients, and it seems, has created "a very savvy and potentially lucrative" deal for herself. Although we hear she looks "healthy" in the much anticipated photo spread, Lefebvre is a cancer survivor and our sources tell us she wants to use her "reign" to send her message of support to other survivors and those battling cancer. Ludovic, we're told, loves the pics.
